Extra space is something that should never go to waste and your JUDY Kit is no different! Along with the 63 life-saving essentials in the Safe already, we designed our kit to have a little extra space in each compartment. This extra space comes in extra handy so that you can add additional preparedness items specific to your family’s individual needs. Three out of the 6 Cartridges in The Safe come with extra space: The Food Cartridge, The Tools Cartridge, and The First Aid Cartridge. Below are some suggestions of items you can fill this extra space with:
- Electronic Chargers, Pet leash, Pet toys, Compass
- Personal medications, Insect Sting Cream or Aloe Vera, Thermometer, Glasses or Contacts, Vitamins, Epipen, Allergy Medication, Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
- Non-perishable (and portable) Food Items, Tightly Sealed Pet Food , Reusable Utensils
On top of all these cartridges (literally) there is enough space for a folder of important documents such as the deed to your home, hard copy photos of your family, medical records, and bank information.
No matter how you use this extra space, make sure you use it. Get together with your family and have a discussion together about what items to include in your Safe kit along with how to use the items already included. This will go a long way in making sure you’re safe and prepared in the event of an emergency.
