Quick Question: Are the Matches in the Safe & Protector Waterproof? How Do They Work?

Quick Question: Are the Matches in the Safe & Protector Waterproof? How Do They Work?

REGULAR VS. WATERPROOF MATCHES:

Traditional matches are made of a stick of wood or firm paper with a head that is made of white phosphorus. When phosphorus is struck with enough friction, it sparks, causing the wood or paper matchstick to ignite.

Our JUDY Waterproof Matches are designed and created with a wax coating that protects the wood and phosphorus beneath the coating from moisture. When you light the match, the wood begins to burn, and the coating on the outside of the match melts away.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Say your basement floods during heavy rains and hurricanes, or you’ve taken your kit with you camping during the soggy season, or ANY emergency that your matches get wet…your waterproof matches will still be usable.

So, rain or shine, the matches in your JUDY Safe and Protector emergency kits will have you covered!
