Quick Question: How should I prepare for a Hurricane Evacuation?

Hurricane evacuations can leave you scrambling, but they don't have to! Do you feel like you wouldn’t know what to pack if you have to leave your home before a hurricane hits? Here are a few questions to ask yourself in preparation:

- Do I have clothes to wear if I can’t return home after the storm for at least a week?

-Do I have something to recharge my phone if I’m without power for a day? A few days? Or even without power for a week?

-Do I have clean water in case the city supply is contaminated during the storm?

-Do I have everything that couldn’t be replaced if my house flooded while I was evacuated?

-Do I have my family and pet’s everyday needs covered when it comes to medicine and food?

These questions, combined with some planning and a well stocked emergency kit, will make sure you and your family are ready to go should you need to evacuate because of a hurricane.
